EX Crystal Guardians is the name given to the fourteenth main expansion of the EX Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. In Japan, it was released as Miracle Crystal, the eighth expansion in the Pokémon Card Game PCG Era. This set features Generation III Pokémon. The English expansion was released on August 30, 2006, while the Japanese expansion was released on March 10, 2006.
The expansion was set on a mysterious island, far from the city of Holon, where Pokémon, both regular and Delta Species, live in harmony. The island also bears naturally growing crystals, which were said to grant special powers if used correctly.
